First driving lesson

To make things easier for you, we go through the first driving exercise together.

After the program-start change to the tab-panel "exercise selection". The first driving exercise is predefined at the first start. Push the button "Start!" now.

The first driving instructor statement is: Please drive across the junction and then turn to the right

For starting, at first you press the key F .

With the up cursor arrow key you start now. Then brake with the down cursor arrow key on time in front of the red traffic lights.

As soon as the traffic lights have turned green, you start with the up cursor arrow key. You drive speedily but not too fast straight ahead across the junction. Observe the speed at the lower right bottom of the screen with the speedo display. You turn right at the next junction now.

Brake if the traffic lights turn red. You must turn right now again. Don't forget to look into the interior mirror first (space bar). After that set the right direction indicator using the Alt-key.

As soon as the traffic lights turn green, you start: up cursor arrow key. You look (Shift key simultaneous with right cursor arrow key) over your right shoulder to check the blind spot. Make sure that no cyclist stands next to you. Then turn into the street on the right: right cursor arrow key. Pay attention to pedestrians crossing the street now. A second shoulder check (so again Shift + right cursor arrow key) is important.

Follow the street along the bend. The next driving instructor statement is: At the next junction turn to the right.

You flash on the right (Alt), brake (down cursor arrow) and look into the interior mirror after the traffic following you (space bar). Before turning right look over your shoulder on the right (Shift + right cursor arrow keys) and follow the course of the road: up cursor arrow key.

You stop at the next traffic lights on red again:

On green you start with up cursor arrow key and follow the street. You have to brake in front of the stop sign: down cursor arrow key.

The first driving exercise has been passed successfully with that. This was also our shortest exercise. All following exercises lead over longer and more varied routes.

If you make driving errors, these will immediately be displayed. Most mistakes are displayed in symbols together with text editions:

If the handling still seems too difficult to you, you can practise on our practice ground first. The virtual driving instructor will help you. As an alternative reduce the skill-level at the registration-panel ( "Beginner" or "Rookie" instead of "Expert"). Later, you may drive the routes in the "Expert" mode.
